Seahawks lock up Tatupu posted on 03/24/2008
Amidst all of the mediocre offseason moves the Seahawks have made thus far, locking up Lofa Tatupu until 2015 with a contract extension last Friday has been by far the most intriguing. It took a bit of work with a few of the other players on the team having to work out some kinks in their contracts to prevent the extension of Tatupu from causing the Hawks to rise above the salary cap. The Hawks work as a team even in the off-season.
They still have a few holes to fill. Running-back should and is a major focus point for the Seahawk nation. They now have 5 backs who really do not stand out as a premier back in this league. As much love as Seattle has given to Shaun Alexander (with the exemption of last year) I think it is time to part ways with the former MVP. Mo Morris is always a threat in the backfield however, he is more effective running short to medium routes and beating the safeties and/or linebackers with his speed and agility.
