Stephanie Pendrys's Detroit Pistons Fan Profile
Brief description
I love sports, have since I was five years old and my Grandpa first introduced me to the Detroit Tigers on July 4th, 1988. I recall batting averages better than I do my relatives' birthdays. I'll play any sport and I'll probably beat you. Except at golf. I suck at golf. I could live on sunflower seeds. The Detroit Tigers will right the ship in 2009!
Extended profile
Who am I?
I am simply obsessed with sports. I love them and I can't live without them. I have been accused of having Gatorade flow through my veins. I will jaw and argue about any professional sport and most likely I will win. My heart beats in sync with the Detroit sports team. Therefore, after the Tigers woeful season and the Lions typical start, my heart is beating pretty slow right now. Which isn't a bad thing, considering I'm also a long-distance runner. My favorite athlete is Cal Ripken Jr. Jerry Rice is a close second. Schoolboy Rowe is the most fascinating character in Detroit Tigers history...well other than Ty Cobb. I'm rooting for boxing to regain its status as a legitimate professional sport. Ben Hogan is the Man. The South Carolina Gamecocks will be a factor in the SEC title chase this season!
Interests
Albion Britons, anything to do with baseball, Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, if it involves sports I'm your Huckleberry., Michigan State Spartans, PGA Tour golf, running, South Carolina Gamecocks

So...the champagne from the Detroit Shock’s most recent WNBA Championship has gone stale. The Lions have again shown their diehard fans that winning three games this year would be a huge accomplishment. The Detroit Tigers went from being the most talked about team in Major League Baseball (What talent! What potential!), to taking over Kansas City’s spot in the AL Central Division’s murky basement. Let's talk about something positive...the Pistons!!!
The questions about Detroit Pistons basketball this season are as numerous as the pumpkin orange construction cones on I-75. With a new head coach, how will the season go? What is Michael Curry going to do with this squad; slight changes or a complete overhaul of the starting lineup once the regular seasons starts? Will Rasheed Wallace spend most of his court time posting up or as a perimeter player? Are the Pistons going to look old, with their 30-something starting lineup, or is the youthful energy of Jason Maxiell and Amir Johnson going to serve as a shot of Red Bull for the whole squad? Only time will tell. But, if the preseason is any indication, Curry is looking for a concoction of youthful exuberance and veteran leadership to lead the Pistons to a strong regular season record and a desirable seed in the NBA playoffs.
